Sitting the exam in Hyderabad

On 28 October 2026 Pearson VUE's ISC2 locator listed one Hyderabad centre: Pearson Professional Centers-Hyderabad on Road No. 2, Banjara Hills. It is also the nearest listed centre for much of central India; a search from Nagpur returned Hyderabad first. Bengaluru and Chennai are the next nearest.

From HITEC City, Gachibowli or the Financial District, Banjara Hills is a short trip on paper and a long one at peak hour. Book a morning slot and plan to arrive early for the June 2026 security screening. See exam day and the national list on CISSP exam centres in India.

ISC2 Hyderabad chapter

ISC2's chapter directory lists Hyderabad as an official chapter, with its own website (isc2chapterhyderabad.in). The chapter describes monthly knowledge-sharing sessions, certification preparation, outreach events and CPE credits for ISC2 members. When we checked, its site listed professional membership at ₹1,000 and student membership at ₹500, and said people without an ISC2 credential can join as associate members. Recent listings included hands-on workshops in 2025.

If you are preparing alone, the monthly sessions are a simple way to meet people who have already passed and to ask how they scheduled their study.

null Hyderabad

null (n|u), the volunteer-run open security community, lists an active Hyderabad chapter. It showed fewer past events than Bengaluru or Mumbai when we checked, so look at the chapter page for the current meet-up schedule before you plan around it.

OWASP Hyderabad

OWASP Hyderabad runs its events through a Meetup group and keeps a standing call for speakers on its chapter page. Its talks on application security are a practical companion to Software Development Security.

Where CISSP fits in Hyderabad's market

Hyderabad's security hiring is driven by GCCs of global banks, technology and pharmaceutical firms around HITEC City, Gachibowli and the Financial District. Common CISSP-relevant roles are security operations and incident leads, identity and access management, cloud security and GRC, often in teams that support a global parent.

Two domains tend to matter most for these roles: Security Operations, weighted 13% of the exam, and Identity and Access Management, weighted 13%. For pay data, AmbitionBox does not show a separate Hyderabad range in its main table, so use the national figures on CISSP salary in India and check live listings for your role.

Studying around a Hyderabad week

• Ride the metro with flashcards. A metro ride to HITEC City is long enough for a short card session and too broken up for deep reading.
• Plan around shift work. SOC and support roles in GCCs often rotate shifts. Set your weekly hours by rota, not by calendar week, and let your planner rebalance when the rota changes. The study plan generator takes your weekly hours as input.
• Use the chapter as a deadline. Aim to finish a domain before each monthly session and bring one question you got wrong.
• Rehearse at your exam time. If your slot is at 9 am, sit full-length rehearsals at 9 am.

Bootcamp or online adaptive prep?
