Sitting the exam in Chennai

On 28 October 2026 Pearson VUE's ISC2 locator listed one Chennai centre: Pearson Professional Centers-Chennai, on Club House Road off Anna Salai. Bengaluru's two centres are the next nearest. If you are in Coimbatore, Madurai or Kerala, compare both cities; we found no listed centre in Kerala.

Anna Salai is central, so the drive in from the OMR IT corridor or Tambaram can be slow in the morning. Leave a wide buffer and arrive in time for the June 2026 security screening. See exam day and CISSP exam centres in India.

ISC2 Chennai chapter

ISC2's chapter directory lists Chennai as an official chapter, with its own website (isc2-chennai.org). The chapter says it was founded in 2012 and runs professional development sessions, workshops and conferences through the year. It also works with the local ISACA chapters and the Cyber Society of India, and has added programmes for student members. Its website has the current membership plans.

ISC2 members can usually claim CPE credits for attending chapter meetings, which matters once you are certified: you need 120 every 3 years.

null Chennai

null (n|u) lists an active Chennai chapter with 96 past events when we checked, plus student chapters at Easwari Engineering College in Ramapuram and St. Joseph's College of Engineering. Students and early-career engineers there are often the ones who later take the Associate route.

OWASP Chennai

OWASP Chennai says it was founded in January 2009 and has run meet-ups, webinars and conferences since, all open to anyone interested in application security. Its events are announced on its Meetup group.

Chennai combines a large IT services and GCC presence along the OMR with banking and insurance operations and one of India's biggest automotive and manufacturing bases. That mix creates demand for security managers who can talk to auditors, factory engineers and global clients in the same week.

Studying around a Chennai week

• Use the bus or shuttle for cards, not chapters. OMR commutes are long and stop-start; that suits short recall sessions.
• Study early in summer. Hot afternoons drain focus; a cool early-morning block is worth twice an evening one.
• Keep one evening for a full practice set. Review every wrong answer the same night, while you still remember why you chose it.
• Plan around the monsoon. Heavy rain can wreck an exam-day commute in October to December. Book a morning slot and keep a backup route in mind.
